Medical Electronics Engineering

The Medical Electronics Engineering Department at M S Ramaiah Institute of Technology (MSRIT), Bangalore, was established in 1996 and renamed Medical Electronics Engineering in 2020 by Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi. The department is accredited by the NBA. In 2012, the department was recognized as a Research Center by VTU and offers Ph.D. and M.Sc. (Engg.) programs by research. The department is located in the Lecture Hall Complex at the RIT Campus. It includes six established laboratories: Diagnostic & Therapeutic Equipment Laboratory, Medical Electronics Laboratory, Medical Software Laboratory, Medical Instrumentation Laboratory, Texas Instruments Innovation Laboratory, and Project Laboratory. The department comprises highly motivated and qualified faculty and dedicated support staff. Experts from GE Healthcare, Philips Innovation Center, Skanray Healthcare, Forus Health PVT LTD., IIT Madras, and MSR Medical College have reviewed the current curriculum. The department also conducts various training programs alongside the syllabus to provide students with exposure to the latest developments in the industry.
