Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering

Established in 1992 as Department of Instrumentation Technology and renamed as Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering in the year 2014 by VTU. At MSRIT offers a B.E. in Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering along with doctoral research. The curriculum covers sensors and transducers, process control, industrial automation, biomedical instrumentation and IoT, delivered through Outcome-Based Education and well-equipped laboratories with strong industry linkages. The Department of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (EIE), Ramaiah Institute of Technology (MSRIT), Bengaluru, is a dynamic, interdisciplinary department at the intersection of electronics, sensors, measurement, embedded systems, control, automation and intelligent technologies. Instrumentation forms the foundation of modern industry by enabling systems to sense, measure, analyze and control processes, making EIE professionals essential to manufacturing, energy, healthcare, automotive, aerospace, electronics and emerging smart technologies. The department is accredited by NBA in the year 2001, 2004, 2010 and 2016. The department has ISO 9001:2008 Quality management system.
