Dr. Mohandas K.N.

Dr. Mohandas K.N. is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore, with over 24 years of teaching experience. His expertise spans Strength of Materials, Manufacturing Processes, Hydraulics & Pneumatics, Fluid Mechanics, Non-Traditional Machining, and Non-Destructive Testing. He holds a PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (2013), and an M.E. in Manufacturing Science & Engineering from University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering, Bangalore (2003). Dr. Mohandas is an active researcher with significant contributions in machining optimization, composite materials, and surface integrity analysis. He has secured major research funding from SERB (TARE scheme), DRDO, and DST-CMTI, and has guided multiple PhD scholars and M.Tech projects. He serves on various institutional committees including IQAC, NBA accreditation, and is a reviewer for international journals and conferences. His work has resulted in four published patents and numerous publications in reputed journals and conferences.
