Dr. Gururaj

Dr. Gururaj Lalagi is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Ramaiah Institute of Technology (RIT), Bengaluru. He also serves as the Department Website Coordinator. He obtained his Ph.D. from Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) in 2026, M.Tech. from Siddaganga Institute of Technology (SIT), Tumakuru, in 2013, and B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Acharya Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, in 2011. He teaches Applied Thermodynamics, Heat and Mass Transfer, Electric Vehicle Technology, Automotive Engineering and Energy Engineering. His research interests include microchannel heat exchangers, nanofluids, internal combustion engines, biodiesel and computational fluid dynamics. He has published 15 research articles in reputed national and international journals and conference proceedings.

Dr. Gururaj has actively contributed to departmental academic and student-development activities. As Secretary of the Society of Mechanical Engineers (SME), he coordinated nearly 15 industrial visits and 10 guest lectures. He has also served as the SAE Student Coordinator and Department-level B.E. Honours Coordinator. He played a key role in organising the ICRAES 2022 Conference, the AM–3D Aero Conferences in 2022 and 2023, and a Faculty Development Programme in 2024.
