Dr. Ashok Kumar K.

Dr. Ashok Kumar K is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Ramaiah Institute of Technology (RIT), Bengaluru, where he has been serving since 2015. He completed his B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from MSRIT, M.Tech in Thermal Power Engineering from Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology, and Ph.D. from VTU in 2023 in the area of Refrigeration. His research interests include biofuels, renewable energy, refrigeration, and sustainable development. He has published more than 30 research articles in national and international journals and conferences. He has actively contributed to student and faculty development by coordinating one Faculty Development Programme, 15 industrial visits, and 10 technical talks for Mechanical Engineering students. Beyond academics, he has been serving as the Honorary Warden of SRNG Sampannappa Hostel, Bengaluru, since 2013, supporting around 90 students with free boarding and lodging. He also serves as a coordinator for the North South Foundation (NSF) Scholarships, Bengaluru Chapter, supporting merit-based scholarships for economically disadvantaged students.
