Automotive Club- Team Volante

Team Volante from the Department of Mechanical Engineering is a multidisciplinary student team focused on the design, development, fabrication and testing of go-karts for both off-road and on-road competitive events. The initiative provides students with practical exposure to vehicle design, chassis fabrication, steering, braking, power transmission, safety assessment, technical documentation, teamwork and project management.

The team represented the institution at the Dirt Kart Design Challenge (DKDC) Season 2, a national-level competition organised by the Fraternity of Mechanical and Automotive Engineers (FMAE) at Valpoi–Koparde, Goa. The competition included static evaluation through technical inspection, design and safety compliance, followed by dynamic events such as acceleration and braking, skidpad, autocross and endurance. Team Volante successfully cleared all evaluations and emerged as the Overall Champion, demonstrating excellent technical execution, vehicle performance and teamwork.
