Automotive Club- Team Velocita

Team Velocita Racing from department of Mechanical engineering is a multidisciplinary student team that designs, develops and competes with a combustion-powered Formula-style vehicle in the annual Formula Bharat competition. The initiative provides students with valuable hands-on experience in vehicle design, manufacturing, testing, technical documentation, teamwork and project management.

Formula Bharat 2025 marked the team’s sixth and most successful season. Velocita Racing became the first team to clear all technical inspections, including mechanical, tilt, noise and brake tests. The team secured 2nd place in Engineering Design, achieved 1st place in Acceleration, Skidpad and Autocross, and finished 2nd overall in the Combustion Vehicle category. The team also won the prestigious Altair Simulation Challenge, reflecting its engineering excellence, innovation and commitment to motorsport technology.
