Dr. Sudheer D. Kulkarni

Dr. Sudheer D. Kulkarni is a Senior Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management at M. S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bengaluru. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University, an M.Tech. in Industrial and Production Engineering, and a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering. Before entering academia, he gained valuable industry experience as an Assistant Manager in Planning within the pump and valve sector. He has also served as a Training and Placement Officer.

Dr. Kulkarni’s research interests span industrial engineering, lean manufacturing, process optimization, simulation, and composite materials. He specializes in integrating artificial intelligence and machine learning into manufacturing, particularly for defect detection and industrial AI applications.

An active researcher, he has contributed 28 research publications and conference papers. His work is published in leading journals and proceedings associated with ASME, IEEE, Springer, Elsevier, IOP, and AIP. Dr. Kulkarni is a Senior Member of the Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering (IIIE) and remains deeply dedicated to teaching, research, and student mentoring.
