Dr. Prabha M.

Dr. Prabha M. is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at Ramaiah Institute of Technology (formerly MSRIT), Bengaluru. With 25 years of research experience and 17 years in teaching, she specializes in Stem Cell Technology, Medical Biotechnology, Enzyme Biochemistry, and Protein Engineering. She holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from NIMHANS/Bangalore University and has completed postdoctoral fellowships at NCBS and IISc. Her research focuses on Cellular/Molecular Neurochemistry/ Neurotherapeutics, Hydrolytic Enzyme Modulation, Neural Stem cells, and Medical Neuroscience [ Neuroregeneration & Brain tumors]. She has published extensively on biomarkers in brain tumor grading, carboxylesterase metabolism in gliomas, and the therapeutic role of modulators like lithium in neurodegenerative disorders. Dr. Prabha is a lifetime member of the Society of Neurochemistry India and the Indian Academy of Neurosciences, with over 30 international invited speaker invitations.
