Dr. BINDU S

Dr. Bindu S is a Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, with 23 years of teaching and research experience. Her expertise spans microbiology, medical biotechnology, toxicology, and food biotechnology. She has guided 6 PhD students and supervised 25 M.Tech and 40 B.E project works. Dr. Bindu's research focuses on biofilm formation, nanotoxicology, and antimicrobial strategies against pathogenic microorganisms. She has secured multiple funded projects from DST, KSCST, KBITS, Govt. of Karnataka & Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India, and Bristol Myers-Sqibb, NJ, USA and has received recognition including a DST Young Scientist grant (2013) and Post-Doctoral Fellowship (2007-2008) at Texas Southern University.
