Dr. Jayaram R. Pothnis

Dr. Jayaram R. Pothnis is currently working as Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at RIT. He completed his undergraduate studies in Mechanical Engineering from MSRIT Bangalore. Subsequently, he completed his Masters and PhD in Aerospace Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay and Indian Institute of Science Bangalore, respectively. He has over 25 years of work experience in Industry, Defence R&D (DRDO), and Academia. He specializes in Aerospace Structures and his research is focused on the development and characterization of novel polymer composites for structural applications. He has published over 25 research papers in reputed peer-reviewed journals and has presented numerous papers in various International / National conferences. He has also published several book chapters.
